Taylor Balladeer Trumpet

This is a true solo lead horn, a Flumpet-style hybrid with big tone and lightning-fast valves. It’s as phat and powerful as a trumpet can get while still carrying that signature Taylor warmth. Custom two-tone brushed lacquer finish, bronze accents on slides and caps, and a Shepherd’s Crook tail bend complete the design.

Not a trumpet, not a flugelhorn — it’s somewhere in between, it is a true Hybrid Trumpet. The Taylor Balladeer Hybrid Trumpet bridges the gap with a 6-inch copper bell and a large-throat flare that gives it that warm, dark, flugelhorn-like sound when you want it, or a bright, projecting voice when you push it. Bore: .460 — yet it moves more air than many large-bore horns. Despite its size, the Balladeer is surprisingly efficient. It fills easily and projects with a tone that’s richer and more complex than even an Adams A4 in direct comparison. Compared to an Adams Custom A4, the Balladeer produces a more harmonically rich, voice-like tone. It’s heavier and looks larger, but actually takes less air to fill. The valves are tighter, faster, and smoother — a joy to play. Note: Standard Harmon mutes won’t fit the 6" bell without cork adjustment. Otherwise, this horn is flawless. “A big, phat, Flumpet-style hybrid that sings like a flugelhorn and roars like a lead trumpet.” Pricing & Purchase Taylor Balladeer Hybrid Trumpet made is 2021 Condition: Mint — less than 10 hours of play time.
